Hi, I’m Ashlyn Warren.

I am a certified yoga teacher and reiki master located in Alexandria, Louisiana at the moment. My passion is to improve the quality of life in individuals dealing with chronic illness through holistic living, mindfulness practices, diet, exercise, and community.

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called PANDAS or Autoimmune Encephalitis at the age of 9. My life up until about 3 years ago was spent in hospitals, doctor’s offices, bed, and struggling to make it from one day to the next. I was taking handfuls of medication, constantly in the stage of a “flare up”, and in fear of having a seizure at any moment. I struggled to maintain jobs, excel in school, or show up in my social life. I was alive, but not living. After one of my hospital stays, followed by a 4 day treatment of IVIG for a series of grand Mal seizures while behind the wheel, and a conversation about putting a port in my chest to undergo treatment every 3 months, I decided it was time for a change. I made a conscious decision that I was done letting this illness define who I was and done living life in fear of my next flare. I had done the fighting, done the work, and was ready to be free.

That was when I completely changed my life style. I became gluten free, dairy free, and started the Autoimmune Protocol Diet. When living with an autoimmune disorder, your body is always fighting itself. When you give your body less things to fight against, the less inflamed it becomes. The key isn’t curing the act of your body fighting itself, but to lessen the things that you can control that your body is fighting. Less inflammatories, less inflammation. This is also when I started my yoga, mindfulness, nutrition, and reiki journey All of these things were key into finding a new path to walk through life by. Since doing these things I have not gone back to the hospital, gotten off all of my medications, haven’t had a seizure, and haven’t had to put that port in my chest.

I am currently back in school pursuing a degree in nursing to better accommodate my clients and broaden my knowledge on all things health and wellness. My intention is to grow together to form a plan for each individual to enhance their quality of life.

I can’t promise the same results, and I can’t promise a cure, but I can hold your hand, show you the tools that have helped me, and provide a community of like minded and motivated individuals that are ready for a change.
