why is gut health so important?

 

Mind body connection starts in the gut. A healthy gut directly communicates with the brain to generate and maintain your body’s health and over all well being. Your immune system as well as your mental clarity can directly be impacted by what you consume and the state of your gut. A healthy gut contains the necessary bacteria that helps protect you from bad bacteria, fungi, viruses and more. Taking some form of probiotic can be a way to help maintain this balance. Constantly checking in with your body and your diet is a key factor into maintaining overall physical and mental health. Below I have listed symptoms of both a healthy and unhealthy gut. This is a guide I personally use to check in with myself. If I feel any of the symptoms listed under the unhealthy gut symptoms column, I consider doing a detox or getting more serious about sticking closer to anti-inflammatory foods. Get used to checking in a listening to what your body is telling you.
